Maddie's First Day!

So here is Madelyn in her uniform for First Grade at our local school! We were so glad she was eager to put it on, eager to go, and had fun seeing her friends from kindergarten and hopefully will be eager to meet new ones. This first week is not a normal school week for her. She will be an "afternoon" student, but this week she will go from 9-11am everyday to get used to the grounds, her teacher, the school and so on. Next week she will begin going from 12-4 or 4:30pm. This is how the whole first semester will be, next semester she will be a "morning" student and have to go much earlier. It is still up in the air who her teacher is, so we will keep you posted. Amazingly, although we had a rough first meeting with her possible teacher (things may get changed) we feel a real peace for where Madelyn will be placed, and trust in who God has made Madelyn: one willing to adapt, smart and capable, and is sweet that she makes friends easily. We want her to be successful, and we trust that God can make her that.
