Let me start this post by saying Nate is only 4 years old. He knows his letters, can write a few, loves to rhyme, but hasn't really been able to identify what letters are starting a word. It will come...but until then, here is a recent clip from a conversation with Nate that left both Gary and I rolling:
Mom: OK, I have 3 B's for you: Bath, books and bedtime!
Dad: Wait, I have 4 B's: Bath, Brush teeth, Books, and Bedtime!
Slight pause...
Nate: O yah?! I got 5 B's: (more pausing) First, we take a shower...
I wish I could finish here what he said, but honestly, I couldn't hear it over Gary's laughter. That little guy might be stubborn and more energy than Gary and I put together, but he keeps us smiling:)
